GOD’S BUSINESS MANAGER – STANLEY TAM (1915 – 2023)

That morning, Stanley Tam said yes to God. A man who was the owner of a business now became an employee. The business was fully God’s own, and Stanley would only earn a salary from it for the rest of his life. It took him 3 weeks to finally tell his wife, but she let it be. She too knows the Lord, and if the Lord demands it, so be it.

SHE WAS CALLED ‘MOSES’: HARRIET TUBMAN (1821/22 – 1913)

Harriet never forgot the cry of her sisters as they were being carried away into slavery in far-away lands. Though quite young at the time, the impression this left in her heart was a deep desire to be free from all these hassles. She longed and prayed for a day when she and the members of her family will be free.

FATHER OF EARTH-MOVING EQUIPMENT: R. G. LETOURNEAU (1888-1969)

After deep prayers, he was surprised to hear his pastor say to him, “RG, God needs businessmen too.” This revelation was going to define and guide him for the rest of his life. It dawned on him that he does not have to go to China, or Africa as a missionary before he can show total commitment to the Lord; he too can serve Jesus as a businessman.

“RUN, KABOO!” – SAMUEL KABOO MORRIS (1873-1893)

The moment the light shone on the prince, his chains and bounds were let loose, and he fell down in a daze. While everyone was still amazed at the sight, a voice spoke out the light. “Run, Kaboo! Flee!” Instantly, his wounds were healed, his pains were gone and an unusual strength surged through his body weakened from beatings and torture; and the prince ran!
